SMALL MANUFACTURING COMPANY

In early 2012, the CFO of a small manufacturing company departed  suddenly.  Financial Analysis Solutions was brought in on a once-a-week  basis.  We were able to close the 2011 books and work with the  accounting firm on the review.  The company had revenue under $4 million  and was losing money.  Partnering with the owners, we developed  financial plans, restructured the company, and vastly improved the  accounting including streamlining the close process, improving reports,  and implementing a new ERP system. In each of the following two years,  the company had revenue above $5.0M and Operating Income over $1  million.

GLOBAL SOURCING COMPANY

At the beginning of 2012, Financial Analysis Solutions was brought in to  help a struggling sourcing company with operations in the US, Korea,  and China.  A new president was hired and we partnered with him to clean  up the financials and improve the timeliness and accuracy of reporting,  settle pending litigation, develop management comp plans, and develop  financial plans and forecasts.  In 2012 the company had revenue just  over $12 million and lost money.  By 2014, the company had revenue of  almost $20 million and Operating Income over $1.5 million.

 CONTENT MARKETING COMPANY

In mid-2014, Financial Analysis Solutions was brought in to work with  the owners on a once-a-week basis.  The company was gaining a strong  reputation, but needed help in scaling the business.  We partnered with  the owners in developing accurate financial models, implementing project  time tracking, refining the incentive and commission plans, and  improving both financial and non-financial processes to help the company  grow.  These improvements have helped the company grow from under $4  million in revenue to almost $6 million and almost doubling the number  of employees.

FASHION START-UP

In 2013, Financial Analysis Solutions was engaged by the owners of a  fashion start-up to develop a five-year financial plan.  We partnered  with the owners to understand the business, the key growth drivers, the  scalability of their model, and constraints they faced.  After multiple  iterations, a five-year plan was developed that the owners felt  accurately reflected the opportunities and risks facing the company.   This model was used to raise a $1 million investment from two  high-profile investors.
